In Greek mythology, Iris was the messenger of love, and it is seemingly fitting that this elegant flower is the birth flower of February. Traditionally, Irises symbolize eloquence, faith, wisdom and hope, as much as February carries with it the promise that spring will soon return. The iris is a reminder that growth often begins beneath the surface long before it is seen, it is the flower of determination and strength.
