A full-circle ⭕️ moment in the studio today—I picked up this commission piece I created over a decade ago! My client is now working with a designer and asked if I’d be willing to remove the varnish and update the painting with a more neutral palette. Absolutely.I know not every artist would take on a project like this, but I love the idea of revisiting past work and breathing new life into it. Art evolves, just like our spaces and tastes, and I want my collectors to be 1000% happy with the pieces they live with every day.I can already envision how beautiful this piece will be in the end—refreshed but still carrying the history of its original layers. Would you ever update a meaningful piece in your home to fit a new chapter?

I recently tried something different—using black

I recently tried something different—using black alcohol ink on a canvas board. My goal was to create a dandelion, a reoccurring theme in my work, but the process turned out to be more challenging than expected. I used 99% isopropyl alcohol to remove dried ink from the board, but it didn’t come off as easily as I’d hoped.Despite the difficulties, the end result was captivating. Still, this experiment confirmed that canvas boards and alcohol ink might not be the best match for my process. I’m always learning and evolving, and I’m grateful for the unexpected beauty that sometimes comes from these creative trials.What are your thoughts on experimenting with new techniques?⚜️

I keep noticing it—something about its presence feels significant, though I’m not sure why. When I was working on this alcohol ink piece, the movement and colors felt right for it, so I let it in.
